By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. At the Manawatu Racing Club Committee meeting to-night the president (•Mr. R. S. Abraham) strongly advooat- ' j ed the Club following the lead of Wei- ' in co-operating with the A. and P. Association by the donation of prizes to encourage the breeding of horses suitable for remount*. The president's proposal was cordially received by the committee, which record- ' ed its willingness to donate prizes to this purpose. The Club also resolved that the question of a uniform hurdle be brought before a meeting of delegates at Wellington, in consequence of the report received frqm Dr. .Wilson, condemning the present system. Dr. Wilson ilso jiave notice of"motion that all hurdle, races be eliminated from <be Manawatu summer and autumn meetings until a standard hurdle is. adopted by the racing conference.
