A OOOL THIEF. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Christchurch, Last Night. James Arthur Lambert was charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with on 7th June, at Christchurch, breaking and entering the warehouse of Walter Thomas Jones, and stealing a number of articles valued at £3O 2s 3d. Evidence was given that accused had hired a horse and van and so removed the goods. Accused pleaded guilty, and was •committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. BREACH OF AN AWARD. Wellington, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Richardson and Co., Pout Ahuriri, was fined £1 and costs for breach of the Seamen's award in failing to pay overtime in respect of a trip made on a Sunday by the steamer Kahu to Akitio. The trip was made to discharge a cargo, but this work was not carried out.
