DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.
The chief features in connection with the Dominion Dairy Show, to be held in Hawera from July 13 to 16, are the dairy produce and machinery sections. Entr'es in the dairy classes are on an extensive scale; and an imposing display of these exhibits in competitions tor valuable trophies and prizes should result. Every inch of show space available for machinery exhibits has been booked. The machinery hail proved quite inadequalje to accommodate all the exhibits which sites were applied for, , and another portion of the buildings was requisitioned. "Even then some outside firms (including one that-goes in largely for, machinery in connection with the daily industry) were at the tail end of |he list of applications for sites, and found that all the available stands were a'ready booked. It is possible, however, that a surrender of rights by intended local exhibitors will be made so sis, to provide accommodation for those from; other centres. The foregoing facts forcibly suggest that the Hawera dairy showjwill be on an impressive scale. In addition to the main features of the show having been so largely patronised, other classes have also filled well. Another attractive and highly successful disulajj should be the outcome. Thelbuildin'g is now being pushed on rapidlu Cheap fare* have been arrangedffor on the railway line from stations »orth and south of Hawera, and there should be a large influx of visitor* from 4 distance.
