NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB.
•ANNUAL MEETING. The second annual meeting of the New Plymouth Club was held at the Club Rooms last evening. The president (Mr. G. Tiseh) presided, there being about 4flf members present. REPORT AXD BALANCE SHEET. In moving the report and balance' sheet (full particulars of which haver been published) the 'president complimented members on the excellent financial position' of the Club. The institution had only l>een in existence about two year?, and the position showed therewere no liabilities, all the furnishings, inducing those of the billiard room, having been paid for. Members should feel. well satisfied with the excellent resultsachieved. The report and balance sheet wereadopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Officers for the year were elected a» under: President, Mr. G. Tisoh (reelected); vice-president, Mr. W. M. Swing; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. H. Humphries; hon. auditor, Mr. H. Stoeker; committee, Messrs. J. Eberlett,. F. Reston, C. M. Hill, J. McLeod, R. & George, L. Hill, W. Roberts and A. K. Smart. Following committees were set up: Billiard Committee/Messrs. A. Biggs and Fred. Robertson; Card Committee, i Messrs. H. Goldwater and C. 0. Steffensen; Chess and Draughts, Messrs. Enroth and Haddrell; Literature Committee, Messrs. Enroth and Chappel. It was unanimously decided to vote the secretary an honorarium of £25 for his services during the year. GENERAL. , Resolved—That an entrance fee of half a guinea be charged new members af/er September 1, 1910. /Resolved—That Rule No. 20 be amend.ea to read that visiting members be admitted to the privileges of the Club oa being nominated by one financial meWh her, and'itfce-admission card being signed <hV two financial members. Resolved—That it be a recommendation' to the incoming committee to have an afternoon for ladies, on a date to be arranged. Resolved—That the incoming committee be requested to go into the matter of having the rooms heated by electric radiators, and the card and reading rooms lit with electricity. Resolved That the stewards he thanked for their services at the Cltab just after the recent fire, and that the sum of £5 be voted between them. The customary vote to the chairman terminated the meeting.
