WESTRALIA'S PROPOSAL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Perth, June 27. The Acting-Premier, addressing the Chamber of Commerce and referring to the procrastination of the Commonwealth over the construction of the traas-Australia i nil way, announced that ■he had submitted a proposal to South Australia that if she would build her portion of the line, Westralia would build hers, independent of the Commonwealth. [RAILWAY TO BE UNDERTAKEN. Received June 28, 0.10 a.m. Melbourne, Last Night. Mr. Fi?her, Premier, states that the Commonwealth intenc's, as soon as possibly, carrying out the Trans-Australian railway. The Government is willing to co-oper-ate with Westralia in the construction of the line.
