A-ftcr accepting Trembath's challenge or?r distances of 100, "220, and 440 yards, Sanson received a telegram from Trembatb as follows:—"Will run Sanson 440, 301), 500, and 600 yards for £50." Sanson now wants an explanation why Tremibat'h altered the distances after tfte acceptance of the cTiaJlenwe. The matter is of interest in view of the proposal to send Trembath to England as a New Zealand representative.
