AN AFFRONT RESENTED
ROUMANIA THREATENS GREECE.

Roumania has sent a Note to Greece, through Italy, whose representative is entrusted with the protection of Roumanian interests, threatening Greece with an ultimatum unless full satisfaction for the Piraeus incident is forthcoming this week.
A Roumanian mail steamer was looted by Greek pirates at the Piraeus. The Greeks deny the looting, and state that the vessel was boarded by boatmen in search of a deserter.
THE KAISER'S INTERFERENCE.
Bucharest, June 23
A local newspaper states that the Kaiser telegraphed to the Crown Prince of Roumania, describing the looting of the Roumanian mail steamer at the Piraeus as a grave affront to the Hohenzollerns, and congratulating the Prince upon his children, who were on board, escaping the dangers of brutal aggression.

'Renter states that immediately after the Piraeus incident Greece spontaneously gave the Italian Minister at Ath .ens a satisfactory explanation, ana offered to pay an indemnity for damage to the steamer during the removal of the deserter.
