The majority of the Board of Conciliation at Toronto recommended an increase of wages of 6 per cent, for Canadian Pacific Railway conductors and baggagemen, and 15 per cent, for freightmen, also an increase of 15% per cent, to conductors, 17 per cent, to brakesmen westward of those rivers. The award is likely to avert a strike.
