WATERLOO CUP MEETTKG. By Telegraph—Pres3 Association. Palmerston iNorthy.TKißa'dlay. ■ The Waterloo Cup coursing meeting commenced in fine weather to-day. This is the first time the New Zealand championships have been held in- the North 'lsland, and there is a large entry of dogs from all parts of the Dominion. Coursing was keen, and good sport resulted. The first round results are as foilows.Gold Quartz beat Ruberoid;' Bachelor's Button beat Admiration; DanO'Connen 'beat Raffles,- Cardiff beat Iris&i Molly; Kileoo beat Reminder; Champion Proof beat Balaclava; Massey-Harris beat Red Jewel; Romany Lass 'beat Breechloader; Jo-rial beat Headlight; Sleeveli'nk beat Pleasant Betty; Red Diamond beat Princess 'Evaj Respite beat Dominion; Millbank beat Taliaia; General Carrier beat Mazzleloader; Pleasant Surprise beat Pilot; Rosy Morn and Sir• Kraidcton did not run.
