PETROLEUM NEWS.
OPERATIONS AT MOTUROA. Matters still continue vcy encouraging at the Tarauaki Petroleum Company's works. At No. 2 bore the well continues to (low as freely as ever, and from 12 noon on Tuesday until 12 noon yesterday 25 barrels of oil were secured. At No. 1 bore the stair are engaged in rimming and cleaning out the bore, which will take some days. At No. 3, drilling operations have reeonuuenced. Tho exhibit at the Palmerston Show is proving a great attraction. The .miniature refining plant was at work yesterday, and considerable enquiry as to whether shares are available is being made. Messrs. Ehvin and Grace are Jiaving quite a busy time explaining the process, and oil matters generally, to all. those interested in the exhibit.
