CANADIAN MAIL SERVICE.
MESSAGE FROM SIR WILFRED LAURIER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received June 20, 1.20 a.m. Melbourne, Last Night. Sir Wilfrid Laurier cabled to the Post-master-General: "Shall be glad if your Government will consent to call at NewZealand both ways on the Canadian mail service, call to commence forthwith. Strong representations have been made to the Government of Canada in the interests of the mail and passenger traffic. I understand the Government of 'New Zealand is willing to contribute." Mr. Thomas is not inclined to interfere with the -present service, but has wired to Canada for further information.
