A BOOKSELLER'S SUICIDE. ■ By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, June 18. The dead body found in the harbor has been identified as that of R. Burra, bookseller. of Thames. A letter in the. pocket stated that the doctor had notified that the writer was liable to death! from heart failure in case of accident, and supplied name and address.
DEATH FROM EXPOSURE. Wellington, June 18. The dead body of a woman named Isabella Anderson was found on the sandhills between Lyall Bay and Kilbirnie this morning. She was only released from prison yesterday, and it is presumed she died from exposure during last night's storm. MERCHANT'S SUDDEN DEATH. Dunedin, Last Night. James Y. Wilson, a well-known bide merchant, died suddenly at his residence at Mornington to-day. Tie had been complaining for two days of a cold in the head. His wife went to England recently for a holiday trip. SEAMAN KILLED. Dunedin, Last Night. Finding Malcolm, a seaman on the Harbor Board's dredge, was killed last night. In some manner he became entangled in a spindle of the windlass, and was carried round in the machinery. The engine was stopped and the machinery reversed to extricate the body. One arm was nearly torn from the body, and one leg broken. The man was dead when extricated. It is surmised that some string round bis leg was caught in the shaft. He was a married man, aaed 35 years, and had five children. Heresided at Port Chalmers.
