A FREAK WEDDING.
SEQUEL: BRIDE'S FROZEN FEET. The bride of G. Lars Gunderson is being brought from the Arctic Circle to Edmonton, Alberta, to receive treatment for her feet, which were frozen during one of the most spectacular and thrilling honeymoons in the history of the North. Gunderson, formerly of .Minneapolis, has been United States Commissioner, Recorder, Coroner, and Probate Judge for Kougerok district. Three weeks ago (says an American paper of March 12) he was married at Nome, and with' his bride left for Shelton, over 100 miles distant, in the face erf wild storm conditions, and dragged iby twelve trained express malamule hounds, the pick of Nome. The temperature was 73deg. below zero. Gunderson knew the route into Skelton, and drove night and day. The blizzard increased. Finally the dogs cringed and whined with the unendurable cold, and baulked. Gunderson got out the robes and wrapped up himself and his bride. The dog* curled into balls of fur. Both awaited the passing of the blizzard for two days and three nights. When the blizzard ceased and Gunderson found his bride's feet had frozen, he hitched up his dogs and made for Hot Springs for medical attention.
