BUSINESS NOTICES.

To the woman who, does her own sewing and who has a very limited amount of money to spend, a chance of securing new materials at easy prices should appeal. There is such a chance announced in another column of this paper by Morey and Son. It refers to values in blousincs of various kinds. °

With the great selling that has followed the first announcement of the Melbourne's great rebuilding >-.a!e, the values are still drawing great numbers of economical shoppers. Bach succeeding day sees the ibuilders further encroaching on the selling space, and in consequence no efforts are ibeing spared to reduce stocks as quickly as possible. The revised timetable for the Toko railway ibraneh is advertised elsewhere. The secretary of the Poultry Society desires to draw the attention of amateur photographers to the fact that a class for animals and birds has been added to the schedule. Judging by the immense amount of interest taken in this section, it promises to ibe a leading feature of the show. Entries for all sections other than the poultry will closewith the secretary on 12th July. The successful euchre party and dance that was held in April last by the Egmont Lodge of Oddfellows was so enjoyable that visitors to that function have 'been most persistent in wanting the committee to told another fixture, and they have decided to hold one on Thursday evening next, the Kith June, in the Brougham-street Hall. The ladies' committee are resolved to excel themselves in the matter of decorations and supper, and visitors will be sure to have a real good evening's amusement. Tickets may be obtained from Messrs. J. Bennett and A. Lovegrove, or from any member of the committee.

During this week White and Sons have considerably augmented their stock of colonial - manufactured goods. Chief among these are Kaiapoi blankets of varying qualities, but all good. Then Onehunga mills are represented with another range of blankets. Roslyn underwear in both the men's and women's departments figure largely, and, despite the rise in the raw material, some exceptionally fine values are shown. Heavy shirtings, and tweeds from the Petone mills are other lines of great merit. Costumes, coats, suits, shirts, etc., all made in the Dominion, give further evidence of the wide range of colonial goods to be had at White's—Advt. Will you call and see our la sheetings next time you are in town. We stock these in white and brown from 54 to 72 inches wide, and reckon they are the best value in the Dominion.—Morey and Moore, The Busy Cash Store, opposite Carnegie Library, King-street, New Plymouth.—Advt. Messrs. Ambury Bros, have an advertisement in this issue dealing with their exceedingly large stock of winter wearing apparel. In cve;'y conceivable line the firm has made its preparations for a good season's business, and the public have been quick to appreciate the enterprise, splendid service, and tip-top value wi::ch mark the business of this popular establishment. There are some very fine window displays at their premises just now. notably that dealing with ladies' evening wear, whilst mothers find inueh ,ti- interest them in the woollen jersey suits for the little chaps. Men's and boys' wear is the care of a separate 'taff in its own distinct department, and V.lv. u is a fine stock.—Advt.
