WAKEA. « (From Our Special Correspondent). At the West Coast Association Killc meeting held on June 3rd at Eab/otu, Mr. Fred Jenkins, our local rifleman, managed to annex the three first prizes, amounting to £1 os each. Mr. James Dnggan. of the Waiva road. is away on 'holiday ibent.
Mr. Simpson, of Johnsonvillc, "Wellington, a, late resident of this district, was on a visit here last week.
The local factory started to make butter for the winter months on Thursday morning.
Cooper and MacDermott's entertainers showed here on Wednesday night. The hall was crowded, and the programme was much appreciated. Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Wells are away on a short holiday.
A quite wedding took place at the Catlwlie chureli, Pvmgarelm, on Wednesday, the parries being Mr. John Leedom ami Miss Mario Francis.
The Newell road creamery closed down for the winter months ilast week and the few suppliers that are taking milk will have to journey down to the main factory. \ ,
