ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
YOUNG MAX DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Thames, Last Night. A sad drowning fatality occurred at Cryer's landing, Wharepo'n, to-day, by which a voting man named Alexander •Rodgers, aged -JO. the son of a wellknown resident of the district, lost his e. About 5 a.m. the young man proceeded to the landing, and it is presumed he missed his footing while stepping on to a, boat and fell into the water, lie was carried away by the current and! drowned. A search inade for the body has so far been without avail. ' FOUND DEAD. / Napier. Last Night, Robert BrUty. a retired carpenter and builder, who had lived in Napier for about thirty years, was found dead at his residence this evening. He was in his seventieth year, and was unmarried, lie had been in indifferent health of late. Deceased was well known in bowling circles as a member of the Napier Greenmeadows Bowling Club.
