Mr. Andrew King, well known in South Taranaki, died at Rowan on Wednesday. Mr. F. B. Knvvett, formerly officer commanding the No. 1 Company of Harrison ("dinners at Auckland, is now residing at Christchurch. Mr. Claude Young, of Hawera, died on Wednesday evening, aged 4!) years. He was a brother of Mr. Walter Young and Miss Young, of New Plymouth. Tt is reported that Sir Joseph Ward will go to England to represent the Dominion at tne ceremony in connection with the Coronation of King George V. The death took place at Auckland on Monday, at the early a<re of 57 years, of Mr.' Thomas Russell, "of the firm of Messrs. Russell and Somers, shipping agents. Captain P. F. Varawa, a retired officer of the Imperial Russian (iuard, is in Wellington. Captain Varawa was commercial agent at Shanghai in connection with the Russian Volunteer Fleet during the Russo-Japanese War. He a:lso saw service in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. At Melbourne the other day Captain Varawa was awarded £SOOO damages against the Howard Smith Company for false imprisonment. He leaves New Zealand by the Corinthic next week, and will visit the Buenos Ayres Exhibition before returning tn Europe.
