News by mail regarding King Edward's deaths shows that his physicians tried without success to dissuade him irom going to Sandringham, where he caught the second ■ and fatal chill. He was equally difficult to control when' he returned to the Pa'-ace The statement is attributed to him: "No! My back is to the wall, and I shall fight it out." He submitted himself Ivnally to the doctors, only eight hours before he died.
