WAITARA NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the Ivy Assembly's euchre party on Wednesday'evening. 22 tables were occupied. The ladies' first prize was won by Mrs. L. Sampson, that of second being gained by Miss Diekie. Mr. Bert McKoy was successful in winning the gentlemen's first prize, Mr. W. Spurdle being second. Mr. "Batchelor's orchestra supplied the dance music, Miss Thomas playing the extras. A most enjoyable evening was spent. A conference between the Council and the Harbor Board is to take place on Monday afternoon next to endeavor to arrive at a finality over bridge matters.
