POWDER HULK EXPLODES.
CLAIM AGAINST AUCKLAND HARBOR BOARD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. On November 10 last an explosion occurred on the public powder magazine in the Auckland harbor, by which the hulk and its contents' were entirely destroyed. There was a sequel to the occurrence to-day at the Supreme Court, before Mr. Justice Edwards, when Messrs. Briscoe and Co., Ltd.. claimed £ 1001) 13s from the Auckland Harbor Board, damaged for value of explosives destroyed. The case lasted all day, and had not concluded at 10 p.m., when the Court adjourned. Mr. Skerrett, for the defendant board, applied for a nonsuit, His) Honor reserving his decision on the points raised.
