THE LABOR PARTY.
AN ORGANISER APPOINTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of all branches of the Labor Party held at the Trades Hall on Monday evening it was decided to appoint an organiser for the Party for the purpose of visiting country districts. Mr. T. Townsend, of Blenheim, was appointed at a salary of £5 per week, which is to cover all expenses except wg the cost of halls for meetings and advertising. Mr. Townsend is expected in Christchurch at the end of the week. He has resided for about seven years' in the Dominion, and was previously engaged in organising work in Australia.
