Count Bonturlin, an officer of the Russian Imperial Guards, and heir u £700.000, died suddenly. Count Lyassy, his brother-in-law, and Dr. Patchenko have been arrested. The arrests caused a sensation, tne former being charged with brrinng the doctor to administer strychnine to his' patient. The bodies of the Bonturlins, two brothers, have been exhumed, and traces of poison discovered. A boy murdered at Warsaw recently is another member of the family. The St. Petersburg police accuse Dr. Patchenko of making a practice of removing wealthy .people on behalf of heirs of estates, and declare the doctor Teceived £50,000 for each' of the alleged murders.
