THE CORONATION MEDAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Niglit. The result of the Coronation Medal, competed for by the ladies' golf cluba throughout New Zealand on Friday last, are now to hand. The best cards' are as follows: Mrs. Winterbourne (Otaki), 94, handicap 17, net 77, par 84, 7 strokes up first. Miss G. Booth (Masterton) 100, handicap 25, net 75, par 80, 5 up, second. Miss Grey (Miramar) 98, handicap 25, net 73, par 77, 4 up, third. Mrs. R. J. Gilmour (Invercargill) 105, handicap 23, net 82, par 86, 4 up, fourth. The winner, who is a club mate oi tile New Zealand champion, 'beat Mrs. Bevan by one stroke, without the handicap. The weather was variable, several clubs being unable to play. One hundred and twenty players, representing nineteen clubs, took part. The official opening of the Carrington Road Club will take place to-morrow afternoon, and not this afternoon as previously arranged.
