LICENSING.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Woodville, Last Night. The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Licensing Committee was held here today. All the members were present. All the Woodville hotel licenses were granted, provided that Mr. Gotlmnl, executor of the late Mr. Bottomley, of the Central Hotel obtains a transfer within . three months. I j Mr. Dwyer, of the Club Hotel, was | granted three months leave of absence,' and Mrs. Dwyer was aippointed manageress in the interim. [ The Masonic and Club hotels uotli need improved fire escapes. The licenses of Pahiatua hotels are all renewed. One licensee, who had been fined for supplying drunken men with liquor, was' severely warned. Licenses of country hotels are all renewed, except the Herbertville Hotel consideration of which is adjourned for twenty-eight days, when the license will be cancelled if a satisfactory transfer is not forthcoming. All country hotels are forma!!}' re quired to provide stabling. Wellington, Yesterday. At the annual meeting of the Cit Licensing Committee all licenses wer renewed. The chairman, Mr. Hasel dene commenting on a remark that al teratiions to a certain hotel would b attended to, and that there was to b a licensing poll eighteen months 'hence said: "That fact is not lost sight of The Bench would not tolerate some o , the houses now in existence Unt for th fact that there is to be a licensing po' in twelve months."
