The Koonya, which arrived from South about 5.30 on Tuesday evening, discharged her cargo yesterday. She got away for Westport and Greymouth at 1.30 p.m., taking a few tons of cargo. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa (brought 55 tons of cargo from Onehiipga .yesterday morning, including 12 tons of sugar, 10 tons of flour, 18 casks of cement, and 50 cases of fruit. THE MARJORIE CRAIG. The Marjorie Craig completed the discharge of her cargo of Tasmanian timber on Monday, and the following day commenced taking in ballast. This was completed yesterday afternoon, 200 tons being taken aboard. The hai'que is to sail this morning, should the wind be favorable, for Kaipara, to load timber for an Australian port. THE RIMU. fhe Rimu was able to work Opunake for a time on 'Saturday, but rain afterwards interfered with lightering operations and the iboat had to anchor off the roadstead till next morning. The ■ weather not moderating, she came on to New Plymouth on Tuesday evening for shelter and later proceeded to Onehunga, where she arrived yesterday. I COAL FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The Himitangi, which was due here yesterday, was delayed on the West Coast and did not leave Westport til! about noon yesterday. She should arrive here early this afternoon. The Moa is to load coal at Westport for the local branch of the Westport Coal Co. She should arrive here on Sunday night, the work of discharge being started' on Monday morning. To-day is the anniversary of the first steamer crossing the Atlantic (1835). Mr. A. B. Powell has replaced Mr. C.. Roberts as chief officer of the Koonya. Mr. J. Gilmer has joined as third engineer in place of Mr. C. M. Graham. A contract has ibeen placed by the Cunard Company for the .building of a new steamer (the Franeonia) of 18,000 tons gross, which is intended to be employed between, the United States and Mediterranean ports. The aggregate tonnage of the company's fleet is now 217,109. OVERSEA VESSELS./ FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. Lauderdale, from Port Huon, via Bluff and Port Chalmers, sailed May 14. Viganella, left Liverpool March 12, due about end of June. Paritutu (dredge) sailed from Clyde on March 24. FOR WELLINGTON. From London — Nerehana (due about May 26), sailed on March '23, via Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Napier. (Tyser).
