Speculation on Mr. Roosevelt's attitude towards warring Republicans overshadows every question in America. The insurgents are jubilant that Roosevelt has invited Mr. Hamilton Fish to a conference on the day of Roosevelt's arrival in New York. The Republicans, however, claim that Roosevelt will steer a middle course.
