COOLIE LABOR.
CALIFORNIA WANTS IT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received May 30, 10 p.m. San Francisco, May 30. The Califoraian Labor Commissioner reports that exhaustive investigations show that some form of unskilled coolie labor (preferably Japanese) is essential for the development of specialised Califoraian agricultural industries. If Japanese are excluded, Hindus will have to replace them, which course will probatory end in an anti-Japanese agitation.
