COLONIAL WORK DISCUSSED. "SKY PILOT'S CLAIM JUMPED." By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received May 30, 0.30 ,p.m. j London, Mav 30. The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, sitting at Edinburgh, welcomed representatives from Australia and New Zealand. The Rev. John Mackenzie of Christchurch, and the Rev. J. T.' Thompson, of Masterton, the colonial deputies, delivered brief addresses, urging'that Australian and New Zealand ministers are doing their hest to overtake the constantly increasing demands. Not money, hut men are wanted in the overseas dominions. They appealed to the Churcfl of Scotland to send out good men. The General Assembly of the United Free Church discussed 'the .problems of colonial Presbyterianism, including colonial students at Scottish universities and theological halls. ■ Dr. Kelman said if they were going to send religion to Australia the°"sky pilot" must go along with the surveyor, the merchant, and the pioneer, otherwise the first claim would be jumped.
