AMUSEMENTS.

ENTERTAINMENT AT AN T END. The Hewitt Pictures were shown on Saturday evening for the last time, the lease having expired. The programme submitted would compare with any previously shown. The decision of the syndicate to discontinue the .picture entertainments will be regretted by rnaay, and particularly by those to whom a night at '"the pictures" have become a regular habit. For many months past the Hewitt Pictures at the Theatre Royal have filled every date not otherwise engaged, and have given pleasure and an education to many, old and young. The pictures shown have ever been of the highest grade in the cinematographic art. The response by the ipublic, however, has' not been sufficiently liberal, and the town loses a most valuable entertainment.
