' THE ROSAMOND. ',r i j The Rosamond, which arrived from Wellington and Picton on Wednesday night, had a total cargo of 356 tons, including 400 cases of kerosene, 363 sacks of chaff, 193 boxes of candles, 80 drums of oil, 80 haga of salt, 63 cases of whisky, a large quantity of hardware, and transhipments ex Maori and Mararoa from Lyttelton, Tarawera, Hauroto and Mokoia' from Dunedin, Moana from Bluff, Hauroto from Gisborne, Moana from Melbourne, Warrimoo, Ulimaroa and Maitai from Sydney, Victoria from Newcastle, Aparima from Singapore, Indralema from New York, Delphic from Glasgow, Corinthic from London, and Drayton Grange from West of England ports. The Rosamond left at 3.15 p.m. 'yesterday for Onehunga and returns to-mar-row, loading cheese for Wellington.
. THE CORINNA. The Corinna is due to arrive here from southern ports, via Wellington and Nelson, this morning. She will ihave a cargo of about 725 tons. THE LAUDERDALE. The Maoriland Shipping Company's steamer Lauderdale (J. C. .Spedding, agent) is expected to arrive here on the 3rd prox. with 287,000 ft of Tasmanian hardwood timber. THE NORTHERN COMPANY. The annual report of the Northern Steamship Company, which was presented to a meeting of shareholders the other day showed that .after making provision for insurance, depreciation and boiler and repair accounts the net profit on worthing account was? £11,230 13s 2d; transfer fees, £2l 7s 6d; balance brought forward April 1, 1909, after deducting dividend, £1062 .3s Id— £12,314 13s 9d. A dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, was recommended, the balance to be | carried to the credit of the .profit and loss account amounting to £1037 7s Id.
