JUNIOR CADETS.

The following is the course of lectures on military tactics to be delivered by Major Malone (laetin'g-Lieiutenant-Colonel 4th Battalion, Wellington, Infantry, Territorials), to he delivered at the Technical School, New Plymouth, for officers of school cadets:—No. ,1, Friday, 2/ch May: Introduction, definitions, tactical principles, characteristics of the various arms, appreciation of the situation; No. 2, Friday 10th June: Mobilisation,'intercommunication and orders; No. 3. Friday, 24th June: Billets, camps, bivouacs, protection at rest; No. 4, Friday, Bth July: Marches, protection on the move, reconnaissance; No. 5, Friday, 22nd July: The fight, the attack; No. 6, Friday, sth August: The fight, the defence, the retreat; No. 7, Friday, 19th August: Nidit operations. Each lecture commences at 7.30 p.m. Sharp. A synopsis of each lecture will be issued in due course. Students of each lecture must have with them at lecture room writing paper and pencils.
