I cannot doubt they hold his) name in grateful remembrance. I am now called to follow in his footsteps and to carry on the work which prospered by 'his hands. It will be my earnest endeavor to up hold constitutional government and safeguard in all their fulness the liberties enjoyed throughout the dominions, "and under •God's guidance, the Ruler of all men, I will maintain upon a foundation of freedom and justice the peace of the great heritage of the United British Empire."
