There is excitement in Turkey through the expulsion of Mahomedan members in the Cretan Assembly on the President's motion. The Turkish newspapers demand that since the Powers cannot safeguard Ottoman rights, the Turkish squadron should present an ultimatum to Cretan insurgents.
