A TELEGRAPHIST IN TROUBLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Edward Johnn Falkiner, a telegraph operator, was to-day found guilty on twelve charges of theft of pianos, and not guilty on five charges of forgery, though the jury found Falkiner bad acted on forged agreements, knowing them to be forged. His Honor, the Chief Justice, deferred sentence till Monday.
