TAUAXAKI RUGBY UNION. By Telegraph—Own Correspondent. Stratford, Last Night. The Taranaki Rugby Union neld a meeting to-night, Mr. Car-gill presiding. There were also present: Messrs. Chalmers, .Skoglund, Buchanan and the Rev. Scott. Prior to the usual business the following resolution was carried "That this Union place on record its recognition of the loss the Empire nas sustained in the death of his most gracious Majesty King Edward VII, and its sympathy with the Queen-Mother, King George, and the other members of the Royal Family in their bereavement." REINSTATEMENTS. The following reinstatements were made: — Star Club—T. Hopkins, W. Wood, W. Pycroft. seniors to first juniors. Eltliam—G. Lewis, J. Philip, P. Wade, H. McKenzie, G. Robinson, T. Williams, W. Newlove a7id L. C. Brown, first juniors to second 'juniors. Opunake—A. Potter, Rowland, P. Deegan, seniors to first juniors. Stratford—L. Bullot and R. Daisley, first juniors to second juniors. Tukapa—R v Honeyficld, A. E. Thompson, G. McKce, C. D. Marenson, A. R.' Rvder. seniors to first juniors . Clifton—W. Dernehl, H. G. Hicks, Peppered, Crowley, S. Egglestone, seniors to first juniors; Hake, Carter, Bristol, S. Letts, C. Goldsmith, first juniors to second juniors. Mr. J. McAllister, photographer at Stratford, offered to take a photo of the three Stratford teams and to hand over the gross .proceeds to the union in aid of the Bayly Memorial, and to take the photos of the outside teams and hand over half the gross proceeds.—The offer was accepted, and a. vote of'thanks was passed to Mr. McAllister for his generosity. The Wanganui Union wrote &»ffag that a representative match be played at Wanganui on June 3rd. After discussion it was decided to send a team on that date. It' was resolved that all cup matenes for June 2nd and 4th be postponed. Resolved to start matches at Eltham at 3 o'clock. The secretary was instructed to write to the Northern Referees' Association asking them if they objected to the Southern Referees' Association controlling all matches at Eltham, and if not to write fihe Southern Association in regard to the matter. The question of junior representative matches caused much discussion, and it was finally, decided that none be played this year. The manager of the team to visit Wanganui on June 3rd was empowered to consult Wanganui Union in regard to arranging a match between the B teams of the respective provinces. A motion of sympathy with Mrs. Alf Bayly in the loss of her daughter was passed. The following will represent Warehouses in their match against Pirates op the Rec. on Saturday: Johnson, Jeffries, Arthur, Boucher, Summers,! Richards, Roberts, Ward, Stawiering, Dines, McAllum, Shain, Crockett, Hawkins, Howell; emergencies, Burgess, Bigelow and Coates.
