PALMERSTON'S DAIRYING FIGURES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, May 18. During the iperiod ending April of the present season -the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Dairy Union manufactured MO tons of butter and 112 tons of cheese in excess of the output of the same period last year. The additional turnover, which is due partly to an extremely favorable season and partly to an increased number of suppliers, totals £19,000 for milk alone. The Union paid out £5115 during April. BURNHAM BOYS AT LARGE. Blenheim, May 18, Albert William Foote and Henry Gordon, the two escapees from Burrtham Industrial School, who were arrested in the Pelorus Sounds last week, appeared in the local Magistrate's Court to-day, i charged with theft of a bicycle. PROPOSED EDUCATION BOARD CONFERENCE. Wanganui, Last Night. The Education Board decided t'his evening to circularise all Education Boards in the Dominion, suggesting that a conference of delegates (two from each Board) be iheld in Wellington in the third week in July next to consider subjects of interest to the cause of education, notices of motion to be forwarded to the Wanganui Board ibefore Gth July.
