ANNUAL ENGLISH CONFERENCE By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received May 18, 10.40 p.m. Sydney, May 18. The South Australian and New Zealand branches of Oddfellows have cabled to the annual conference at Southampton their sympathy in the national bereavement, The conference discussed the establishment of a solvency insurance fund, aiming at raising deficiency lodges to a 90 per cent, standard of solvency. It is estimated that a penny in -the pound levy would raise a £IO,OOO reserve fund. The suggestion will be resubmitted to the next conerene.
