POSTPONEMENT OF THE ELECTION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 17. Mr. T. P. O'Connor, in an, article in a weekly newspaper, professes to be unable to see a basis for compromise. The Daily News protests against Unionist attempts to extract a party advantage from the death, and gain time for the House of Lords, adding that the Liberal policy will not be altered, though the time-table will inevitably be changed, and the election •will most likely take place in November.
