THE KOOinYA. The Koonya, from southern ports, foerthed at afoout noon yesterday. She discta-rged 580 tons of produce, etc., and got away late in the evening for Westiporit and Greymouth. She took away a small quantity of butter for the West Coast. The Manuka will leave Sydney on August 1 for Vancouver. The Mokoiiai is due to leave Wellington on July 7 for iPapeete, connecting with it/he Mariposa for 'Frisco. A Sydney piajper .publishes a report to the effect that the steamer Moura lias been disposed of by the Union Company to a firm in Vancouver. The rumor is denied in official circles.. The Blackball Coal Sompany will require the services, of ia.ll three' of their steamers (including the new boat which is to leave the Clyde at the end of this month), as a very busy season is in store. The company have signed a coii- : tract to supply upwards of 30,000 tons of coal to the New Zealand Government Railway Department, commencing on •the Ist inst. The coal is to be delivered at various, ports.. ■ For the ipast six months applications' have foeen coming in to the Gisfoorne Harbor Board for appointments to various .positions upon the new dredge. The applications are made in somp instances by 'highly-certificated officers and engineers.
