INVESTMENT SOCIETY

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the New Plymonth Investment Society was held yesterday afternoon, Mr. J. B. Connett (chairman of directors) presiding. The directors, in their thirty-fourth annual report, congratulated the shareholders upon the satisfactory nature of the year's business. The retiring directors, Messrs S. Teed and 0. T. Mills, were re-elected, and Messrs. J. S. McKellar and C. F. Foote were re-elected auditors. A resolution expressive of regret at the death of the late King was recorded on the minutes. At a subsequent meeting of the directorate, Mr. J. B. Connett was reelected chairman of directors.
