HALLEY'S COMET.

When the comet is near the earth an international commission of aeronautics will send up balloons carrying glass tubes which will open at a given height and admit air, and then close hermeti-j cally. The contents will be analysed. !
Observations taken at Madrid show that the comet's tail is 74 million kilometres (45,981,380 miles) in length, and gives no sign of cyanogen. j
