A POPULAR ACQUITTAL

A jury at the Federal Circuit Court of New' York acquitted Fritz Augustus Heinze, who was charged with defrauding the Mercantile National Bfink over the certification of cheques and wilful misappropriation of fuuos. There was great rejoicing at Butte, Montana, at the result, the prosecuting attorney being burned in effigy. Heinze states he spent £BOO,OOO sterling in his defence.
