The Montreal Board of Trade Council lias resolved that the reciprocity treat with the United 'States should discontinue, on the ground that Canada cannot afford to endanger Jier growing industries or have her natural resources exploited for the benefit of the United States. The resolution adds that reciprocity will inevitably tend to slacken the ties binding Canada to the Motherland. London, May 12. ' Newspapers comment on party lines on the important memorandum by the Tariff Commission, which will have an effect on Canada's tariff arrangements with France, Germany and the United States.
