RIFLE SHOOTING
STRATFORD v. GUARDS. A good shoot took place at Rewa Rewa yesterday between Stratford Rifle Club and Guards, being the sixth match. The Guards won by 35 points. The teams are now even. Stratford was short of Thorpe and Newland, and the Guards lacked Grover and King, which equalised the teams. The fine shooting of C. Speck mas a special feature; -he scored I((4—one short of the possible—which has never been beaten in New Zealand. Sergeant Oliver put up 100, and Private Riddles 99, both splendid scores. Following are the scores:—
