MOA DAIRY COMPANY

A special meeting of the directors of the Moa Dairy Company was held at Ir.glewood 'on Saturday; present: Messrs. D. Herlihy (chairman), Jones, Geo. Meuskfcy and Stachurski. The business was the consideration of the question of erecting a creamery at . Bristol Road, and also converting tlie Waitui Factory into a creamery. .Messrs. H. B. Curtis and JI. Hopson (Bristol 'Road), Williams and Bishop (Waitui) waited on the directors and stated that as the result of a meeting o r - the two districts it had been decided to interview the directors of the Moa Dairy Company on the question. List year the Waitui people had approached the Moa Dairy Company oni the same question and'been refused,! and naturally did not like approaching! a-gain; (but Mr. Curtis stated that the Bristol Road people had interviewed! Waitnti and asked them to join in with; Bristol Eoad. The two creameries could! work well in with each other, as the! one cart could carry cream from both.! The settlers were agitating for a bridge j over the Manganui river, and steps; were 'being taken to raise a loan for the purpose.
