(From Our Resident Correspondent.) Stratford, Saturday. A boy named l/>vett was knocked dewn and rim over bv a cart in Broad- ' way this morning. Beyond receiving a severe shaking lie sustained no injuries.

Last night Dr. Valentine, Inspector- / General of Hospitals, had a conference with the Borough Council in regard to the basis on which future contributions to the salary of the District Health Officer should lie made. Dr. VaJentine explained the whole position, and finally, after some, discussion, his proposal was. agreed to.
