STRATFORD DAY BY DAY.
(From Our Resident Correspondent.) Stratford, Saturday. A boy named l/>vett was knocked dewn and rim over bv a cart in Broad- ' way this morning. Beyond receiving a severe shaking lie sustained no injuries.
Mr. Vickerman, the assistant to the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, is expected to arrive in Stratford on Tuesday, when he will visit and inspect the work on the Stratford-On-garue railway line. Saturday, 21st inst., will be Hospital Saturday.
Last night Dr. Valentine, Inspector- / General of Hospitals, had a conference with the Borough Council in regard to the basis on which future contributions to the salary of the District Health Officer should lie made. Dr. VaJentine explained the whole position, and finally, after some, discussion, his proposal was. agreed to.
