RACES POSTPONED.

The Christchurch Racing Club's Autumn Meeting opened to-day at Pljimpton in fine but cold weather.
Only three races had been decided when nows of the King's death was received, and the meeting was at once abandoned.
Results of the events decided-were:—
High-weight Welter Handicap, of 60 sevs; one mile.—Armamento, 0.3, 1; Merry Lass, 0.5, 2; The Libyan, 9.13, 3. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 4'J 2-osee.
Trial Handicap, of .SO sovs; seven furlengs.—Nig'htlight, 7.11, 1; Aunt Sally, . 8.4, 2; Red Kin?, 7.10. 3. Won by a nock. Time, lmin 32 l-ssec.
Christchurch Autumn Handicap, of 115 sovs; ope mile find a furlong.—Paragon, 8.2. 1; Tikitcre, 0.3, 2; Silkweb, S..'i. 3. Won by a length and a. half. Time, lmin 57 3-ssec.
