ELECTRIC LIGHTING
At the New Plymouth Borough Cou".i- ( oil's meeting on Monday evening the following recommendations will be made by the Electric Lighting Committee:— That the question of the election of a permanent chairman be deferred for a full meeting of the committee, Councillor BrOwne to act as chairman in the meantime. That the Taranaki Agricultural Society be lent any material required fori temporary lighting for its winter show,' the society to pay for current at the usual rates and also to pay all out of, pocket expenses. I That an application by the Egmout Lodge of Good Templars for free lighting at its bazaar he referred to the chairman. That consideration of a letter from the Taranaki County Council regarding street lighting of St. Aubyn Town District be deferred until next meeting. j That Mr. Climie be again requested to forward his account for services ren-1 dered. | That the application of Messrs. Nixon and Hartnell for electric current for their dwellings, Holdsworthy Road, Yogeltown, he dealt with by the council. That any surplus material from the tuildings on the Gill Street extension, after the erection of new stables, be utilised for the erection of a hulk store, 20ft by 40ft in area, on the Liardct Street section. That the tenders for three miles of insulated wire he referred to the executive committee with power to act.
