WAITARA NEWS

(From Our Own Correspondents.) A special general meeting of the Waitara Bowling Club was held on Wednesday evening, Mr. (brimstone presiding. The Croquet Club wrote asking for permission to .have control of thejr own courts and funds, which was agreed to. It was decided to write to the dubs in the Taranaki district ire the forming of an association to arrange for matches throughout the season, and to ask them to consider the matter so as to commence at the beginning of next season. It was also decided to put down three ;or four extra rinks on the present green, the cost of which will be defrayed by small donations from the members. At a teommittee meeting held afterwards the secretary was instructed to ask for all unpaid subscriptions, by the 31st instant.
