WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday we had a large entry of poultry, and pullets, young hens and young .ducks were in keen demand. We quote Saturday's auction prices as under:—Cockerels (young) Is to Is 2d, good fat do. Is i)d to 2s 4d. roosters Is to Is 3d, old hens Is 2d to Is ss, good young hens to 2s 3d. pullets (young) Is "ild to 2s 3d, forward do. 2s sil to 2s did, mieks Is ild to 2s, fat ducks 2s 4d to 2s 7d, geese 3s to 3s 3a. A large quantity of sundries sold at usual auction prices. Meat—The usual lot of meat was sold at slightly advanced prices. Beef: Prime rib 3d to 3y 2 d, forward do. 2 1 /, d to 3d, sirloin 3M>d to 4 1 /»d, rounds 3y 2 d to 4d, roasts 2d to 2'/ 2 d. coming .pieces li/ a d to 2y a d. Mutton: Legs 4d to 4%d, loins 3d to 3y 2 d, .forequarters 2y s d to 3d.
Rabbits—Out first consignment of rabbits sold freely at from Is 2d to Is 4d per pair. We are now getting regular weekly consignments. Fruit—Apples are still coming forward in large quantities, and good uesserts still meet a goo.i market. ' L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. On Saturday we had our usual goo a entry of poultry, the pens being well filled. There (was good demand, especially for ducks. Prices realised are as follows:—Hens Is 4d to 2s 3d, pullets Is l'Od to 2s 4d, cockerels !s 3d to 2s 3d, roosters Is (id to Is Kid. ducks Is 7d to 3s Id.
Fruit—Pears are now practically finished. The ..supply of apples is also decreasing.
